Local lifestyle

University Hills is a quiet residential neighborhood, and you can see that reflected in the activities of its residents. On the weekends, you will find citizens of this community out walking with their pets in the dog-friendly park areas, swimming in the public pool, or playing golf. Hikers and bikers enjoy this neighborhood's local trails and plentiful green spaces.

The homes in this area are varied and spacious, often having large yards and mature landscaping. Architectural trends lean toward single-family ranch-style and two-story houses from the 1950s and 1960s. Things to do

The High Line Canal Trail cuts across most of lower Denver, following the path used to water the city. This trail cuts across many parks, including the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Park in University Hills. This trail is extremely popular with hikers, bikers, and equestrians and is an excellent way to exercise and see more of the neighborhood.

The Wellshire Golf Course borders University Hills to the southwest. Donald Ross beautifully designed this golf course, and it is open to the public to use the putting green, chipping green, the pro shop, and the golfers’ pub. There is also a junior course for those just learning how to play.
Newman Center for the Performing Arts is the home of performing arts in nearby University Park. The center hosts numerous cultural events, ranging from concerts, ensemble performances, plays, and ballets to seminars and educational presentations by some of the nation’s leading speakers.
